More Than 40 Years of Aerospace Tooling Experience
Established in 1981, Smith Bros. Tool is a small business located in Shelby Township, Michigan, USA. Housed in 2 facilities totaling over 100,000 square feet of workspace, we proudly manufacture a variety of full turnkey projects for our customers in the Space, Aerospace, and Defense Industries. Our projects include the manufacturing of Custom Tooling, Jigs & Fixtures, and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) for complex programs.

In-House Tool Design Engineering
Our In-House Tool Design utilizes CATIA V5 to develop 3D models and 2D drawings for a variety of ground support equipment, tooling, jigs, and fixtures.

Large 3 Axis & 5 Axis CNC Machining
We provide precision 3-axis and 5-axis CNC machining services for space, aerospace, and defense applications. We can manufacture large-scale tooling, fixtures, molds, and complex components while maintaining tight tolerances and quality.

Quality Inspection
Quality inspection is performed in-house using FARO Laser Trackers, FARO Arms, Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs), and Verisurf software to verify tooling accuracy and meet customer requirements.
Our quality management system is certified to AS9100 Rev. D and ISO 9001:2015, and we are ITAR registered.
